Warranty Coverage

Eligibility: This warranty applies to new firearms purchased from Family Firearms Store. It covers defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the firearm. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Scope of Coverage: The warranty includes repairs or replacements for defects in the firearm’s function. This includes issues with the frame, slide, barrel, and other critical components. It does not cover accessories such as optics, sights, magazines, or other attachments unless they are specifically included in the warranty documentation.

Exclusions: The warranty does not apply to:

Firearms that have been altered or modified beyond their original specifications, including any unauthorized repairs or modifications.

Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance, such as failure to clean and lubricate the firearm regularly.

Cosmetic issues that do not affect the firearm’s functionality, such as scratches or minor finish imperfections.

Use of non-factory ammunition or parts, which can void the warranty if they cause damage to the firearm.

Normal wear and tear, such as expected degradation of components over time.

Additional Exclusions: The warranty also does not cover damage caused by accidents, natural disasters, or other external factors beyond our control.
Warranty Process

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA): Before returning a firearm for warranty service, customers must obtain an RMA number from our warranty department. This ensures that all returns are processed efficiently and that customers are aware of any additional requirements. The RMA process typically takes 2-3 business days.

Shipping: We cover shipping costs for valid warranty claims. However, customers are responsible for shipping costs if the claim is deemed invalid. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance to protect against loss or damage during transit.

Repair or Replacement: We will repair or replace the firearm at our discretion. If a replacement is necessary and the exact model is no longer available, we may offer a credit towards a new firearm of similar value. In some cases, we may provide a refurbished firearm as a replacement.

FFL Transfer: For warranty repairs or replacements, firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer. Customers may incur additional fees for FFL services, which are not covered by the warranty.

Turnaround Time: We strive to complete warranty repairs within 10-14 business days from the date we receive the firearm. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the complexity of the issue and availability of parts.
Customer Responsibility

Maintenance and Use: Customers are responsible for maintaining their firearms according to the manufacturer’s instructions and using them for their intended purposes. Regular cleaning, lubrication, and inspection are essential to prevent wear and tear.

Compliance with Laws: Customers must comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding firearm ownership and use. This includes obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
Warranty Limitations

Liability: Our liability for breach of warranty is limited to repairing or replacing the defective firearm. We are not liable for any other damages, including incidental or consequential damages such as lost wages or personal injury.

State Laws: Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. It is your responsibility to understand the laws in your jurisdiction.
Transfer of Ownership

Non-Transferable: The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. If you sell or transfer your firearm, the warranty does not transfer with it.
Changes to Warranty Terms

Updates: We reserve the right to modify these warranty terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will be posted on our website and apply to all future warranty claims.
